Our project managers and leaders share a passion for delivery and transparency across pre and post-contract stages - from managing and controlling the delivery of the project, to key KPIs of risk, cost, programme and quality - all the while maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
Gordon Bateup
Director
Gordon has a strong focus in project management, with particular attention on workplace, learning space and aged care spaces. Gordon is passionate about sustainability within the industry and is the founder of GreenChair.
Complementing his technical skills with a strong understanding of risk, procurement, integration and cost management, Gordon has over 25 years of experience in both the public and private sector in new construction and fitout projects.
With an international perspective on construction and fitout project management, along with a wealth of experience in managing key projects in Western Australia, Gordon brings a dynamic approach to the industry. Providing skills within PMO’s (Project Management Offices), Program Management and work place and space strategy.
Gordon provides industry talks on workplace, learning space and aged care.
Ray Gurney
Associate
Ray is an experienced Project Manager with 30 years diverse expertise in development, new build, project management, contracts management, facilities management and consulting contracting throughout Australia and the UK.
Ray’s project management skills provide for planning, management and the delivery of projects and programmes, with complex risks and integration issues. Ray’s areas of specialisation include risk management, procurement, integration cost management and superintendent representation in both the commercial and government sectors.
His background in Engineering, Facilities and Project Management has provided an important ability to deliver successful outcomes a variety of projects.
Nick Byok
Senior Project Manager
Nick is a versatile and proactive Project Manager with over 15 years’ experience working in the construction industry both locally and internationally.
Nick has delivered unique and complex projects for many high profile clients with his extensive experience in leading transformation projects across the property industry - delivering projects in the workplace, retail, hospitality, hotel, and multi-residential sectors. This experience has provided experience and insight into company cultures and their core values as a business.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills paired with a respectful and empathetic approach, has enabled successful collaboration with senior executives through to operations and facilities teams.
Nick’s background in Architecture has proved a useful foundation to deliver complex projects of varying sizes.
Ruan Van Der Merwe
Assistant Project Manager
Ruan brings over four years of experience in both residential and commercial projects and has built a solid foundation in contract administration, project management, and scheduling.
Experience in all stages of project lifecycles, from planning to execution, Ruan has learnt how to handle challenges such as tight deadlines, budgets, and managing expectations.
Working with diverse teams, Ruan ensures that projects run smoothly and are completed on time with excellent results. His ability to juggle priorities and stay focused on the bigger picture makes him a valuable addition to the the team.
Ruan has a degree in Applied Science Construction Management from Curtin University.
Breanne Carmody
Operations Manager - GreenChair
Breanne has worked in a range of roles encompassing Business Management, Procurement, Product Management and Supply Chain management with global organisations including Rusty Surfboards.
With her strong relationship management skills, Breanne leads the GreenChair initiative driving and supporting it’s growth.
Frankie Ekhard Project Coordinator & Administrator - GreenChair
Frankie studied Economics in Germany and since then has worked in a number of Fortune 500 companies in roles including project management, marketing and analytics.
Frankie skilfully masters the tightrope walk between sustainability and efficiency when building new processes or improving existing ones. She's a circular economy champion and passionately supports GreenChair to repurpose commercial furniture and support charities.
Lara Sheldon
Coordinator - GreenChair
Lara brings many years of experience spanning numerous industries including administration, management, commercial sales, and retail, with experience in office supplies and furniture product ranges. Lara has a keen eye for detail and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service for all stakeholders.
Ethan Hunt
Project Coordinator & Marketing
Ethan works for Bateup Consulting aiding with projects whilst supporting with the ever-growing GreenChair program. Ethan’s background in marketing and sales along with studying Business at Monarch Institute equips him with a diverse range of experience to draw on.
